The Mayor of Spokane, Jim West, has been giving out jobs to his (rent)boys. I fail to see why this is such a big deal. Girls have been getting a leg up the career ladder after a legover for yonks, so why should boys not apply their assets and skills to the same purpose? I'm not sure how those talents can be externally applied productively in a city government job. I can imagine Amsterdam City Council having whores on its pay roll, but Spokane?
Darker secrets lurking beneath the "family-friendly" image of Spokane have been surfacing. It makes me think of Twin Peaks.
